About the project
Eternitium is a deck-building race for 1 to 5 players: time travellers build a deck of Technology and Portal cards to dig through their Era deck and be the first to find the Eternitium gem. Released on BGA in October 2024, the adaptation now includes the Next Gen expansion and a solo campaign played against an AI deck.
Challenges and Risks
- Lots of card animations, including during simultaneous turns
- Many cards with unique effects and edge-case rules
- Discard pile can be consulted at any time
- Superposition of visible and hidden cards in each Era deck, kept consistent for every viewer
- A Technology market that must never show duplicates
