About the project
TEKKEN – the Board Game is the official tabletop adaptation of the Bandai Namco fighting series. Two fighters face off on a hex-grid stage, chaining attack cards into strings and combos, punishing their opponent’s mistakes and unleashing Rage when low on health. Currently in beta on BGA with the Starter Set (Jin vs Kazuya on the Descent stage).
Challenges and Risks
- Hex-grid fights with moves, pushes, sweeps, stuns and stage hazards
- A deep turn sequence: punish attempts, combos, Heat, events and special attacks
- Character-specific Rage cards and combos, built to scale to more fighters and stages
- An official license requiring close alignment with the publisher on rules and visuals
